Glenfiddich explorers is a site where users can view, create and share lists of things that inspire them. List are laid out in a “cloud” formation and animated using JavaScript and the JQuery library.
I had to install and build a development LAMP environment, which included setting up a version control solution using subversion. I had to create a prototype of the “cloud” to see if it was possible to do using javascript instead of flash. I was given psd files and had to develop the MySQL database, backend and frontend applications, HTML, CSS and JQuery animations. Site was built using the Symfony framework.
